Our story

A tiny shop with a serious dairy obsession.

Mooslover started with one stubborn idea: that the ice cream you grab on a high street should taste as good as the stuff you queue an hour for on holiday. So we built a little counter, bought a churner, and started making everything ourselves.

“We would rather make thirty flavours brilliantly than three hundred badly.”

Today that means small batches every morning, real ingredients you can pronounce, and a tiny patio where regulars, first-dates and sugar-high kids all end up sitting elbow to elbow. We are not the biggest dessert spot in Manchester — that is rather the point.

Questions, answered.

Do you make your ice cream on-site?
Yes — every gelato and sorbet is churned in small batches in our kitchen each morning using fresh milk, cream and real ingredients. No artificial colours, no pre-made mixes.
Do you have vegan and dairy-free options?
Always. We keep a rotating selection of dairy-free fruit sorbets and plant-based gelato, clearly labelled at the counter, made on separate equipment where possible.
Can I book the patio or a table for a group?
Our patio is first-come, first-served for walk-ins, but we take bookings for groups of six or more and private dessert parties — just call or message us on Instagram.
Are the dessert cocktails really alcoholic?
The cocktails and boozy shakes on our 18+ menu contain real spirits and are ID-checked. Every one of them also has an alcohol-free twin if you’d rather skip it.
Do you cater for allergies?
We label the 14 major allergens for every product and our team is happy to talk you through options. As we handle nuts, dairy and gluten in one kitchen we can’t guarantee zero cross-contact.
Can I order for collection or a party?
Yes — we do take-home tubs, sharing platters and dessert tables for birthdays and events. Pop in or call ahead and we’ll sort it.
